I wanted to buy the Burgundy version of this vacuum due to the rave reviews and the positive Consumer Reports results, but it was sold out and I was relieved to find the Orchid version in stock--which is the exact same vacuum in a prettier color.

Works well on carpets and wood floors, January 23, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Panasonic MC-CG901 Canister Vacuum Cleaner, Orchid finish (Kitchen) Cleans like a champ - great suction after many uses. I am curious to see how it will hold up after a few years. The plastic is fairly solid but it is, after all, plastic. The unit that arrived was actually the burgundy machine. Not that I care, but it is definitely not the purple shown in the image. We have both carpeting and wood floors and the machine works fine for both. One drawback - it is LOUD, especially with the cornering nozzle - which has a great design. I like that all of the accessories fit inside of it.

It received great reviews and out performed my old Vacuum hands down. It is equipted with a very long power cord and glides effortly across all surfaces.
